10 Things We Wish Happened Every Day At Disney World

No matter the day, week or month, Disney World is a place of pure magic, joy, nostalgia and fun!

Always a magical sight

There are so many amazing and inspiring moments that happen at Disney World, and while every day here is magical, there are still some things that we love and wish happened every day.

It’s really hard to go wrong with a day at Disney World. After all, the most magical place in the world has that nickname for a reason.

But between particular things that need to be more practical, seasonal items that we wish were all year round, these are things we wish to happen every day here.

Easy access to our favorite bars and lounges

Advanced dining reservations can be a blessing and a curse in that they allow guaranteed access to some of the most coveted restaurants in Disney World, but also some of these places are almost impossible at all times!

Bars and lounges, on the other hand, often don’t take reservationswhich is good insofar as it makes them more accessible to impromptu guests…unless of course the bars and lounges are very popular.

Example : we desperately wish there was a way to easily visit places like Nomad Lounge and Trader Sam’s Grog Cavewithout having to wait hours or constantly refresh our My Disney Experience app to check walk-in availability!

Of course, some days we get lucky and grab a seat right away, but “a few days” is not equal to “every day”, which would really be more ideal for us.

Gideon’s cookies were easier to get

Likewise, it is certain it would be nice if we could quickly grab some of the best cookies in Disney World without having to wait in a virtual queue for several hours.

Worth it though

We’re watching you, Gideon’s Bakehouse. Considering how epic and amazing the cookies – and slices of cake – are, we’re always willing to endure the wait at Disney Springs, but it would be infinitely more convenient if the virtual queue were shorter (or non-existent ?!) most days.

Incredibly short lines

Especially for busy and high-demand rides, like Flight of Passage and Rise of the Resistance and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, the lines are often ridiculously long. It’s a shame, because these rides are pretty much mandatory for maximum Disney fun these days.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Rise of the Resistance, in particular, can order a line that takes virtually all day to waitalmost requiring an upgrade via Disney Genie+.

What It would be nice if these rides had reliable and consistent time pockets each day. when we knew we could walk with minimal waiting. It happens! Trust us! But unfortunately, these cases are extremely rare.

Gingerbread should be a flavor all year round

We’re OK with some flavors confined to one season – like, we don’t need pumpkin spice coffee on Memorial Day, thank you. But gingerbread is a flavor that Disney World makes especially magical.and honestly, we could opt for gingerbread treats any day of the year.

the gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of our favorite holiday pastimes that we love so much we wish it was permanent.

Standardize to make it a year-round display

Same goes for delicious gingerbread treats – and pretty gingerbread products! – that Disney prepares every year. To like, we’re really craving a gingerbread cookie right now.

Cast members hand out free sunscreen

Gifts at Disney World are rarebut they are coming!

Free water

We know how to get free water, but on particularly hot days, Cast members at the parks have also been known to hand out free sunscreen!

Free sunscreen at EPCOT! But, that doesn’t happen often.

It’s such a thoughtful touch, and super helpful! We want this to happen every day, no matter the weather or the forecast, because sunscreen is always always always a good ideaand sometimes we miss (or worse… forget).

Cast members greet guests at openings

When Disney World first reopened in 2020, during the pandemic, The Cast Members did an incredible job of bringing the magic back (when we needed it most).

Cast Members of Pirates of the Caribbean

One of the most amazing ways to do this was to line up – while socially distancing – near the entrances to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT parks, and throughout the parks, and greet guests, welcome them back to the most magical place in the world in the most magical way possible.

The cast members welcome everyone to the parks!

It was a touch of pure joy and comfort, and while the parks have been reopened for a while now, we’d still love that kind of touching comfort once in a while. Or, you know, every day.

We spot celebrities in the parks

The stars are like us: they also go to Disney World!

Kristen Chenoweth in sight!

On rare occasions, we were lucky enough to spot celebrities in the parks, either filming for a special projectlike Kristen Chenoweth, or just there to live their best Disney life.

Country singer and songwriter Brett Eldredge

Unfortunately, many Disney World celebrity tours involve VIP tour guides and behind-the-scenes transport between attractions, so spotting them can be a rare occasion – certainly. rarer than Hidden Mickeys!

It’s warm enough for water parks all year round

This being Florida, aka the Sunshine State, it is assumed that it is sunny and warm every day of the year. Well, we say LOL to that.

Sunny skies!

Not only is it common do not sunny, but it can get downright freezing at Disney World – so cold that the water parks literally can’t run. Because Typhoon Lagoon’s lazy rivers are less fun when you’re hypothermic.

Typhoon Lagoon

And since we love Disney water parks, we miss them especially in winter, so we desperately wish the weather was a little less temperamental. But this one really isn’t under Disney’s control…

Universal vs. Disney World: Which is better for water parks?

It’s sunny and rainless all the time

Speaking of weather, we could certainly do without “severe weather” and puddles so deep it feels like wading through the lagoon of the seven seas.

It can get quite rainy at Disney World!

As we said, it’s not always sunny here at Disney World. In fact, it’s raining a lot! Umbrellas and raincoats usually do the trick, but it would be nice if our umbrella budget wasn’t more than our Minnie Ears budget.

A rainy day in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge

No matter the day, season or forecast, it’s always a magical time at Disney World! Although we’re not going to complain, all we’re saying is that it would be nice if we could eat gingerbread at Typhoon Lagoon on a wonderfully sunny day in February. That’s all we ask!
