And of course, the change of season means guests can expect to dress in their finest attire for Shanghai Disneyland’s annual Halloween celebration. Under the cool and comfortable weather, customers’ favorite new and classic offerings create even more opportunities to celebrate holidays, friendship and reunions with family and loved ones.

Celebrate friendship during ‘Let’s Be Friends’ themed Duffy Month with brand new offers
Guests are invited to celebrate friendship with Duffy and his friends during Official Duffy Month. From September 1 to 30, this month Duffy marks LinaBell’s first birthday. Since her debut last September, this captivating vixen has worked her way into the hearts of guests. In an exciting first, the floral Mickey will be transformed into a LinaBell design. The adorable floral will greet guests as they enter, showcasing LinaBell’s signature color and iconic purple orchid, providing the perfect photo opportunity for fans of the fabulous fox friend. LinaBell will also be joining the front gate show for the very first time, and at various times throughout the day, Mickey, Minnie, and the dancers will introduce the group of friends in this show.

Guests will also be delighted to see the park’s transformation into a world filled with all things Duffy and his friends. Along with a host of endearing and entertaining Duffy-themed offerings, Mickey Avenue will be decorated with a bold and colorful design themed around the stories of Duffy and Friends. Guests will enjoy the all-new selfie set, improved social walls and photo placements, and plenty of photo opportunities to fully embrace the warm welcome of Duffy and his friends in a series of miniature “sets” on Minnie Lane which allow guests to pose with their plush in a variety of settings.

Duffy Month invites all guests to become a friend of Duffy and his friends. Newcomers and long-time guests are encouraged to sign up for the Duffy and Friends Club mini-program on WeChat for a chance to redeem a Duffy-themed card holder and stickers at the park to decorate and personalize their own pocket photos.

Foodies shouldn’t miss all the refreshing and deliciously Duffy-themed things this Duffy month. Guests may have an extra chance to meet Disney friends while enjoying mouth-watering dishes at the popular Duffy Weekend Brunch, while Duffy Afternoon Tea and the Disney-themed hotel buffet Duffy’s are back for even more Duffy-shaped sweetness. Those wishing to add to their culinary journey can join the Junior Chefs Weekend Cooking Session, where a chef will teach guests how to make Duffy-themed sweet lollipops that will satisfy both the eyes and the taste buds. . And at the CookieAnn Bakery Café, CookieAnn has prepared different desserts inspired by the stories of the seven friends – guests can look forward to trying the tart sphere of white chocolate mousse with raspberry jelly, the rich chocolate mousse cake with black cherry and the delicious dark chocolate tart. Guests can also pick up LinaBell and CookieAnn Popcorn Buckets and many other festive goodies for a tasty treat that will keep them satiated while enjoying all that Duffy Month has to offer.

With September also comes the Mid-Autumn Festival. As a nod to this important holiday, the StellaLou CookieAnn Mooncake is the perfect gift for the season. And this year, new plushes CookieAnn and LinaBell will join StellaLou in Chinese outfits to celebrate the holiday. The Duffy Month celebration continues at the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, where guests can find Duffy-themed souvenirs in their rooms. Family fun can be had at the Mickey Mouse Playhouse, where themed recreational activities take place throughout the month.

As the weather turns colder and the innocence of September’s Duffy month gives way to something a little spookier, it means it’s Halloween time at Shanghai Disney Resort! From October 4 to November 4, the entire resort will transform, putting guests into the Halloween spirit as a spooky spell is cast over the resort. Guests of all ages are invited to dress in their fanciest costumes and participate in new surprises and iconic offers during this limited-edition festival season.

Starting October 4, an enchanting Halloween-themed decor will transform the resort with pumpkins, tangled cobweb decorations, opulent social walls and, of course, the Donald Duck-shaped floral. Always ready to have a good time, Mickey and Friends and Duffy and Friends won’t miss the festivities – they too will be dressed to impress in sharp Halloween costumes, ready for a spooky encounter with guests.

It wouldn’t be Halloween without the highly anticipated annual arrival of Disney villains, who will make occasional appearances on the castle balcony. And when night falls, Donald’s beloved Cavalcade of Halloween Treats will return to the parade route. Young Halloween enthusiasts can dance at Tomorrowland’s Pepsi E-Stage during the ‘This IS Halloween’ dance party. Plus, no Halloween is complete without sightings of ghost pirates! Treasure Cove once again becomes the home of the Ghost Pirates who “haunt” Shipwreck Shore.
The four-day Spook-tacular Halloween Extravaganza caps off the holiday activities from October 28-31. The Halloween Villain Fireworks Show will once again be a stunning showcase of Disney villains. During Halloween evening hours, certain areas of the park will be turned into Halloween party areas for guests to watch the show. The Halloween thrills continue as guests have the opportunity to meet beloved villains across the park, including Lotso, Evil Queen, and more. For a heroic encounter, Loki will also make a special appearance!
