Disney World parks close early on New Year’s Eve

There’s something magical about celebrating the New Year at Walt Disney World Resort.

Walt Disney World is known as “the most magical place on earthand there’s a reason that name has stuck with it since it opened 50 years ago. Millions of Disney Parks Guests travel to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom each year and there’s something special about vacationing at Disney World.

Disney has announced its park hours for New Year’s Eve, and there’s some interesting tidbits to share.

Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will all be open until midnight to ring in the New Year’s Eve, but Disney’s Animal Kingdom will continue to close at its normal hours.

This actually has Magic Kingdom and EPCOT closing an hour earlier than last year. The two Disney World parks closed at 1:00 a.m. on New Year’s Eve last year.

The Christmas Eve hours are as follows:

  • Magic Kingdom: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • EPCOT: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

At this time, details of the New Year celebrations have not been announced by Disney.

Times are subject to change, and depending on crowd levels, Disney may choose to alter the schedule.
