Over the past year, there have been numerous reports of guests having a negative experience at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Central Florida. The sudden influx of changes across all of the Disney parks has left, for some, a sour taste in their mouths. From the abolition of free FastPasses at Walt Disney World in favor of Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane, the often confusing Park Pass and Park Hopper system, and the growing muddle over things like the Magic Key initiative at Disneyland Resort, the The Walt Disney Company’s national parks are going through a difficult transition, at least operationally.

That being said, visitors are still flocking to resorts, with Disney Parks revenue continuing to increase quarter over quarter and visitor spending across the board, which of course can be attributed to the Launch of paid queue skipping tool for attractions. Disney Genie+, the constant inflation of commodity and food prices, and the overall cost of Disney vacations, Disney World in particular.

However, it’s not always the parks management that leaves a guest questioning their vacation enjoyment. For a Disney World guest, who recently visited the Disney Resort for 12 days, this would be the end of their trip that would ruin the magic and ruin their Disney experience. No, for Leah Middleton, 20, her holiday would end in the nightmare of British Airways – an airline that frequents Orlando with thousands of guests each year – losing £3,000 (about $3,600) worth of Disney merchandise and d expensive personal items.

Talk to Live Chronicle, Middleton explained the ordeal. The Disney Princess singer, who often attends children’s parties as a The beauty and the Beast (1991), Belle, explained that the airline had lost her suitcases and those of her boyfriend, Middleton containing six Disney backpacks worth an average of £70 each (about $85), sunglasses on prescription and an expensive retainer.

She says:

“My boyfriend picked up his file a few days later and it was updated through the process, but I haven’t been updated since leaving Heathrow Airport,”

“I called baggage claim every day for the first few weeks and got a referral code to log in to updates and there were updates on Tommy’s case but not mine. I called every day and each person told me something different.

Middleton went on to detail his nightmarish experience after his 12-day Disney World vacation:

“They don’t seem to understand that it’s people’s lives that they’re playing with. Imagine if I was a bride and my wedding dress was in there or if I had a baby and all the baby stuff was in there? »

“I can understand BA being very busy, but people seem to be reading from a script and not caring to help you,” she said. “The customer service was really bad. It’s so frustrating. For the first two weeks I called them every day. I spent hours on the phone. It was all a bit of a nightmare.”

British Airways, a company that has been in the news frequently at present due to the cancellation of hundreds of flights over the summer months, answered Middleton’s call. The airline said:

“We are doing everything we can to ensure that our client finds his luggage as soon as possible. We apologize for the delay and inconvenience caused. »

Updates to the Disney Parks portfolio and airline issues that saw many guests miss their Disney trips aren’t the only things affecting vacations. For visitors from the UK in particular, the influx of people wanting to travel has seen wait times stretch into months for passports and passport renewals, leaving many people racing against time before their next vacation at Disney Park.

After the magic of Cinderella’s Castle, Main Street, USA, and the fireworks of Disney Enchantment, strolling through the newly reformed Future World and riding classic attractions such as Space Mountain, how would you feel- you if your vacation ended like this?

Walt Disney World Resort has four theme parks: Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park. It also includes two Disney water parks, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, as well as the retail and entertainment area, Disney Springs. A valid ticket is required to enter each park and Park Hopper hours begin at 2:00 p.m. daily.
