Michigan Man wins $6 million on scratch ticket

If there is a Michigan Lottery record book, this man from Cheboygan County is in it.

The 30-year-old (who wishes to remain anonymous) recently won $6 million on a scratch ticket. The win is the highest amount to date anyone in the Great Lakes State has won on an Instant Play Michigan Lottery.

According to Michigan Lottery, the lucky player purchased a $300,000,000 Diamond Riches ticket for $50 at the Vanderbilt Downtown EZ Mart in Vanderbilt (near Gaylord). The man bought the ticket on his way to work and immediately scratched it into his car after buying it. As you can imagine – when he saw how much he had won he couldn’t believe it,

“When I saw that I had won the $6 million prize, I started shaking and showed my friend. We were both freaking out!

As most big lottery winners do, the man opted to receive a lump sum payment of $4.1 million. Not too shabby for a $50 bet. What will he do with all that money? It looks like the big winner is planning a trip to Disneyland and plans to save the rest.

So how can you be the next big winner? First, you need to buy a ticket. Hearing about big winners like this Cheboygan County sure makes people excited to play. The bad news is that not everyone will be rich, but most of us will keep trying.

Someone is going to be the next big winner – why not you?
