Powerhouse Portsmouth Pop Warner football team looking to hit their Disney World ticket

The Portsmouth Pop Warner Under-14 team aim to reach the national stage when they face Revere, Mass., At home on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

The winner of that semifinal match qualifies for the New England Championship, with the next stop being a trip to the National Championships at Disney World next month in Orlando, Florida.

Portsmouth won their third straight Rhode Island Conference Championship in Southeast Massachusetts two weeks ago by beating Old Rochester. The losses the team have suffered over the past three seasons have come against regional competition.

Portsmouth Pop Warner’s Under-14 team have gone undefeated against the league competition for the past three seasons.

The team members, many of whom have been playing together since the age of 5 or 6, are Adam Conheeny, Liam Daly, Drew Dischert, Cashman Downes, John Ellsworth, Levi Grigson, Jackson Hackley, Stephan Harvey, Orion Haverington Silvia, Aidan Maisen, Hunter Millan, Miles Millan, Darious Myers, Logan Peters, Wyatt Reilly, Dean Russolino, Jack Sanderson, Joseph Sanderson, Jakeem Stedford, Parker Watson, Victor Waycuilis and Brady Williams.

The coaches are Troy Watson, Rich Brandariz, Matt Colna, Justin Hackley, Brandon Millan, Randall Williams and Lawrence Russolino. The mom of the team is Keri Brandariz.
