Take a Virtual TOUR of one of the most FANTASTIC rooms at Disney Wish With Us
It’s official! The Disney Wish was welcomed into the Disney Cruise Line fleet following the official christening on June 29.
We’ve been guests on the inaugural cruise and brought you all the ship updates, including an in-depth look at the World of Marvel dining experience and a tour of a standard cabin. Now we suggest you visit another cabin aboard the Wish — the Princess Aurora Royal Suite.
The Princess Aurora Royal Suite is one of the Concierge Suites aboard Wish and consists of two master bedrooms, a living room, an open dining area, three full bathrooms and a private lanai with hot tub.
The sequel is Aurora themed by Sleeping Beauty and has some subtle (and not-so-subtle) movie and princess touches throughout. Let’s cut to the chase. First up we have the living space, which is punctuated by this beautiful glass art depicting Sleeping Beauty in the woods.
In addition to the artwork, the living room has a sofa, two green chairs and a beautiful spiral staircase that leads to the two upstairs bedrooms. The balustrade of the spiral staircase is gilded and very ornate and intricate, adding to the overall elegance of the room.
Going upstairs, we come across the first bedroom. Each bedroom has a king-size bed with a bedside table on one side and a dressing table on the other. There is also a TV in the wall and a chair to admire the wonderful view.
Let’s go see the bathroom!
This bathroom has a double sink with a lighted mirror, a shower equipped with a rain shower head and a bathtub.
It also includes floor-to-ceiling windows that offer some pretty amazing views.
Gold details are prominent throughout the bathroom with the light fixtures and vanity. The second bedroom is similar to the first with more blue and gold decor.
But let’s move on to the real star of the show: the private veranda with whirlpool!
This cabin has its own private lanai, complete with lounge chairs and a hot tub overlooking the ocean.
This room also includes a dining area with a pantry and a wet bar stocked with things like water and sodas. This space also includes a coffee maker and an electric kettle for your morning jolt.
And like the other staterooms aboard Disney Wish, there are subtle themed touches throughout the room. For example, in the bedrooms, the light fixtures have golden birds on them, reminiscent of the “Once Upon a Dream” scene in the film Sleeping Beauty.
There are also large murals of scenes from Sleeping Beautyas well, like this one which represents the castle.
There are two versions of this suite aboard Disney Wish: the Princess Aurora Royal Suite and the Briar Rose Royal Suite. We visited the Princess Aurora Royal Suite, which leans more into blues and golds (meant to represent Aurora’s time in the castle). The Briar Rose Royal Suite has wood and stone tones, as a nod to Aurora’s life as Briar Rose.
