Murder of Sidhu Moose Wala: Sources said the UK-based person helped the attackers with logistics.

Chandīgarh: The Sidhu Moose Wala murder case has taken another turn. The investigation team has arrested a person with links to the UK. The person told police that the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala was planned before the Punjab Assembly elections but as he got the ticket from the Congress it was postponed, sources said.

Sidhu Moose Wala had challenged the polls in his home town of Mansa but was beaten by party candidate Aam Aadmi.

The person with UK links reportedly told police that seven assailants were involved in the murder, five of whom were snipers. The cars used in the crime were purchased from Talwandi Sabo and Sikar of Rajasthan. The person said the cars were purchased by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Sources said the UK-based person helped the attackers with logistics, providing the weapons used in the murder.

Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by several gangsters who intercepted his SUV in two cars. Canadian mobster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the murder on social media. He is an associate of Bishnoi, a gangster housed in a prison in Rajasthan.

25 police teams from Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana raided several locations to zero in on the killers of Sidhu Moosewala.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will travel to Mansa to meet the family of Sidhu Moose Wala.
