The popular Halloween experience mysteriously returns to Disney World for the first time since 2019
Most people don’t think of Halloween during the hottest part of summer, unless, of course, they dream of cooler seasons of the year and long for the lower temperatures that usually come with the season. fall holidays. But at Disney World, the Halloween season starts in August, especially this year as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party made its triumphant return to the Magic Kingdom.
But that’s not the only part of Disney World‘s Halloween festivities that has finally returned to the parks, as a guest-favorite spooky experience returns to the Magic Kingdom for the first time since 2019.
Journalist Scott Gustin took to social media earlier this week to share a short video of the odd figure who made a return appearance at this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom.

Yes, the Headless Horseman is once again riding down Main Street, USA, at Walt Disney World‘s Magic Kingdom. Not so long as a shadowy figure of the Headless Horseman has been spotted anywhere in the Magic Kingdom since 2019 during Mickey’s not-so-spooky Halloween party.
In 2020, guests’ favorite Mickey Halloween party was not offered due to the coronavirus pandemic that swept the nation and the world that year. In 2021, there was talk of the return of the special spooky party, but in May of that year, Disney parks announced the cancellation of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party for the second consecutive year.
This year, guests are delighted that the festivities are back and in full swing— and even feature the Headless Horseman crossing Main Street as guests look on. Earlier this week, the mysterious horseman made his way through the crowd of guests gathered that evening for the festivities. Surely everyone left the park that night with the intention of watching Disney’s Ichabod and Mr. Toad.
After all, it’s not that scary!
