Ticket prices and fan reactions as Cardinals win NL Central

It looks like the team will host the best of three Wild Card series against the Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres or Milwaukee Brewers.

ST. LOUIS — For the first time since 2019, the Cardinals are the National League Central champions.

It’s the 12th time the Cardinals have won, more times than any other team in the division.

There’s a lot to celebrate in St. Louis. The team was all smiles Tuesday night popping a few bottles after Milwaukee’s 6-2 win over the Brewers.

The Cardinals still have seven games on their schedule before heading to the playoffs. The first is another game against the Brewers at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday night.

But, all eyes are on the playoffs now!

The Cardinals are currently the third seed in the National League.

It looks like the team will host the best of three Wild Card series against the Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres or Milwaukee Brewers. This opening series is scheduled to take place at Busch Stadium from Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 9.

We have checked the ticket prices for these online games.

A few weeks ago, these wild card game tickets were as low as $20.

Wednesday morning tickets for Game 1 of the Wild Card Series start at $40 for standing room only. The price jumps to $102 to sit high on right field in the bleachers. Ticket prices cap at $250 for a premium seat.

We’ve taken a look at the ticket prices for Game 3 of the Wild Card Series. They are currently listed at $60 for standing room only and around $250 for premium tickets.

Tickets are going to be in high demand.

We spoke with Cardinals fans early Wednesday morning who say Tuesday night’s win isn’t just a big win for the team, it’s a dream come true for the city.

We spoke to Ryne Schleicher at a local bar. He tells us, “For someone like me, I watched every game…that’s what bars and restaurants in St. Louis need. We need a “Red October”.

Another fan, Dr. Montez, said, “This is our real Disney movie happening right in front of us. Straight to DVD and Hall of Fame…What’s happening in baseball this year is magical.”

If you want playoff tickets, you can buy them online or in person at the Busch Stadium box office.
