Universal Studios hikes ticket prices, anticipating October ‘congestion’

Universal Studios announced that they plan to raise 1 Day Park ticket prices in October to ease crowd congestion during the Halloween period.
From October 22, 2022, the Osaka-based theme park Universal Studios Japan (USJ) will increase its maximum price for the 1 Day Park ticket from 9,400 Japanese yen (approximately $69) to 9,800 yen (approximately $72 ). This is an increase of 400 yen (about $3).
Meanwhile, the neighboring Tokyo Disney Resort has a maximum ticket price for 1 day of 9,400 yen, making Universal Studios Japan the most expensive theme park ticket in the country after this increase.

The last third of October, including Halloween, is the most popular season of the year for us. We made the decision in hopes of alleviating the expected level of congestion.

Visiting Universal Studios Japan during this period, after October 22, will mean that visitors will be charged the maximum 1-day ticket price of 9,800 yen for adults (12 years and older) and 6,500 yen for children (4 11 years old) (previously 6,300 yen).
